ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE

WELLINGTON DIVISION. The annual meeting of the Wellington division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade wtut held in the Star Boating Club shed on Monday night, a large number of members attending. The report showed that a very satisfactory year had passed, and that members take a keen interest in tho work and affairs of the division. One hundred and eighteen persons were rendered first aid, the majority of these being on the football field, and in all cases, many of which were serious, the treatment was satisfactory. The division received the thanks of the Wellington Rugby Union and a donation of £5 53 to its funds. The credit balance is £5 6s 4d, which is not very satisfactory. With the present membership (36) some stretchers and othor equipment are absolutely necessary to carry on the work successfully, and it is hoped that some means will be devised to raise sufficient funds. The thanks of the division are again due to the Star Boating Club for granting the free use of a room for all meetings, and also to Assistant-Commissioner H, H. Seed for the assistance he has rendered to the division at all times.
