RIFLE-SHOOTING
SUBURBS CLUB. ■ The Suburbs Defence. Rifle Club held a successful shoot at Miramar on Saturday afternoon, thirty ' competitors taking part. The entrance fee was 2s 6d, the proceeds to be devoted to assisting Rifleman' W. Gower, who with A. 0. Bellamore is representing the club at the rifle meeting to bo bold at Sydney early nest month. Tiro club were assisted by tho City Rifles, Engineers, Highlanders, Karori and Potone clubs. The match will be continued on Wednesday afternoon next, when re-entries will bo received on the range. Shooting was open to all-comers. The trophies won will be obtainable on Friday next at J. L. Turner’s, Cuba street. Tho following wore the scores:— Seniors-
J. Coulter 18 20 The club will fire teams matches next Saturday, when the season will be opened. Tho president and secretary will select teams from members present.
