VICTORIAN FACTORIES
INCREASE. IN NUMBER, OUTPUT AND WAGES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received August 4, 8.50 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 4. The official statistics of factories state that the number lias increased by 665 since 1904. The number of hands has increased 34 per cent., the value of the output increased 584 per cent., and the total tvages paid 69 per cent.
