THE BISHOP OF OXFORD. By Telegraph.—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, 'August 3. The death is announced of tbo Right Rev. Dt Paget, Bishop of Oxford. I>r Pagot was in his sixty-first year, having been born on March 29th, 1851. .Ho was fchb second son of the celebrated physician, Sir James Pagot. Ho had a distinguished academic career, and was Senior Student of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1873. He was tutor in 1876, Oxford preacher at Whitehall. 1832-3, and Vicar of Broomsgrovc. 1833-5. In t.io latter year he became Begins Professor of Pastoral Theology and Canon of Christ Church, and he was Dean of Christ Church from 1892 to 1901, and in the lastnamtvJ year he became Bishop of Oxford. H© was author of a number of works on theological and ecclesiastical subjects.
