CHURCH OF ENGLAND
MEN’S SOCIETY. The Church of England Men’s Society (St. Paul’s branch) held a social gathering in Sydney street schoolroom last evening, Mr Barraud presiding. Addresses were given by the Revs. Williams and Johnston, Dr. Izard, and Messrs Morton, Clarke and Walton, the speakers making reference to the good work that was being done by the society. Mr Johnston suggested the formation of athletic and social branches of the society, with a view to keeping members together and giving them further opportunity of meeting each other. Tho programme. which was arranged by Mr Clarkson, was contributed to by Messrs Warren, Parmer. Bowman, Clarkson, Tnnley and Hollow (accompanist).
