THE CASE OP MSS MALECCA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. ST. PETERSBURG, July 31. The Russian Foreign Office has informed Britain that Miss Malecca, whose release from prison, or speedy trial, was recently demanded by a Socialist demonstration in London, is a Russian subject, but out of friendliness to England the Russian Government promises to hasten her trial. On Jnly 17th a Social Democratic demonstration held in Trafalgar square demanded Sir Edward Grey's (Foreign Secretary) intervention on behalf of ilisa llaloccai who had been imprisoned for several months at Warsaw, she was born in London, but Russia apparently would not admit her British nationality. . Mr Win Thorne, who presided, said that tho British Government should insist on her being released or brought to trial, even if it were necessary to send a Dreadnought or two to enforce tho demand-
