MANAWATU HUNT CLUB
MEET AT MIRAMAR. A moating’ of the local members of , the Manawiaitu Stmt O’ub was held last evening, Mr J. Adams presiding, to make arrangements in connection with life run at Miramar on Saturday and Monday next. * The following new members wore elected: Messrs F. Eowe, A V. Knapp, 1?. Masseur, and J. Stellin. A reception committee consisting of Messrs J. J. McGrath, M. McGrath, E. Sullivan, F. Rowe. J. Adams. A. V. Knapp, T. Phillips, and C. J. Rhimes, was appointed. It was agreed that the hunt should meet on the top of Constable street hill on Saturday at 2 p.m., and the hunt will throw out at Mitamor at 3 p.m. A number of Masterton and Palmerston North visitors have promised to take part, including several ladies.' ‘
The master of the hounds is Mr Bruce Mol/wan, and. the local deputy master Mr C. J. Rhimes.' Mr I>. Bennett is huntsman. The course includes fifty obstacles, some of .which are wire fences and water jumps. Members will be entertained at afternoon toa at Mr Lyons's house, from which point spectators will have a good view of the run.
