A general committee meeting was held ou Friday evening, Mr E. Short presiding. Mr H. H. Hunt was welcomed us a new committeeman. The committee recommended the fol lowing appointments to subcommittees Advertising and printing—Messrs F. i . Ilaggitt, E■ Goodbehere (treasurer). A. 11. Atkinson, J. W. Knight, J. G. Cobbe, A. 11. Mayo, and president (convener). Ground and green feed—Messrs Burrell. Booth, O. Mcßlroy, Knight, Boddy, Haggitt, Goodbehere, A. Campbell, and J. Wilson (convener). Gates Messrs Cobbe, Goodbehere, Mayo, Bramwell, and secretary (convenor). Competitions and horses —Messrs Haggitt, McElroy, Booth, A. Campbell, N. Gortou, W. J. Phillips, and Wilson (convener). The president is to be a member of all committees, and the homo industries committee wiH endeavour to obtain the assistance of a ladies' committee to draft schedule and canvass for entries. Tho New Zealand Producers' Association forwarded initial report of tho Home representative, Mr F. J. Shelton.

Tho Auckland A. and !P. Association ■wrote that the Minister for Education had stated that it was unlikely that tho Government would provide funds in aid of a scheme to send young men to Melbourne to bo educated at tho College of Veterinary Science, and had refunded .£2 2s sent by this association towards the object.’ The secretary of the Manawatu A. and P. Association wrote that tha meeting of A- and P. delegates was in favour of metropolitan associations giving other associations representation on their committees.

Levin and Co., Ltd., agents for the Lister sheep-shearing machines, intimated that they were offering a .£lO 10s cup for some competition in sheep-shearing classes at the next show. The matter of interviewing tho donors re making tho cup an award for some other event, as it was too lato for shearing, was left to the secretary. Tho Westland A. and P. Association wrote that they had passed a resolution, 'That the Department of Agriculture be urged in future that, when making appointments of inspectors of stock, only duly qualified veterinary surgeons be chosen, so that districts without the services of a vet. may have opportunities of obtaining expert advice when needed," and asked for support.—The meeting expressed approval. ’ The Wellington Meat Export Company forwarded account sales and reports (and cheque for <£2o6 11s 6d) of sale of 20 carcases of mutton and 900 carcases of lamb shipped per s.s- Athenic. A vote of thanks was accorded the Wellington Meat Export Company for its excellent reports, members expressing the opinion that it was tho best report they had yet receivedOn tho motion of the president, a vote of sympathy was passed to Mr W- Raid in his recent illness, "
