BALL IN THE STADIUM

The ball held in tho Stadium last night was not so well attended as was expected, owing to so many counter attractions. The Stadium presented a very bright appearance, large quantities of blinking being; used effectively, with palms and ferns for the decorations. Some of those present were: Mrs Ballinger. who wore a black satin gown; Mrs Luke, black velvet with beautiful lace on bodice; Mrs Fletcher, silver grey charmeuse: Mrs Bull, white charmeuse with black overskirt; Mrs Partridge, black silk; Mrs Seaton, black charmeuso with jet overdress; Mrs Johnston, black velvet; Mrs N. Nathan, blade crepe do chine; Mrs Norwood, cream silk; Miss Luke, pale blue charmeuso.
