CORPORATION EMPLOYEES
TO BE PAID WEEKLY. A recommendation was made by the finance committee to the City Council last night:—"That the request of the corporation employees to be paid their wages weekly be not acceded to.’ An amendment to tho danse was moved by Councillor Fletcher that tho word "not" be struck out. The engineer, Mr Morton, in reply to a question, said tho alteration to weekly payments would involve a great deal of extra work. Councillor Fletcher’s amendment was carried, and the employees will in future bo paid weekly.
