WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION., A meeting of tlie Wellington Hockey Assooiation was held last evening, mainly for the purpose of amending tho rules of the association, in order that a new club might be admitted. The direction of the alteration was (I) that the three in rule 3 bo struck out and tno word “live” Inserted thereof; " (2) that the words “the annual” in lines throe and lour of rule 6 (1908 edition) be struck out and the word “a” inserted in lieu thereof, and that the following paragraph be added at the end of tho said rule: *Tn the case of clubs elected at a'general meeting other than the annual general meeting the annual subscription and capitation fee shah be payable within one calendar mouth after date of such election/' Mr W. J. Organ presided, and moved accordingly. . Tho resolution was earned. On the motion of the chairman it was decided that tho Kilbirnie Young Men's Institute Club be affiliated to the association. Mention was made that junior and thirdclass players complained of their matches being postponed when shield matches were played. . A resolution was put to tho meeting, and on the casting vote of the chairman, was carried, that there bo no postponement on account of the Hawke's Bay match, but that there Should bo a postponement on the occasion of the Auckland shield match. Mr Bennett gave notice of motion to call another meeting to reconsider the matter. MATCHES IN WAIRAEAPA. SPECIAL TO THE “TIMEB.” MASTEETON, July 13. The 'Wadrarapa Hockey Association’s fixtures were continued this afternoon in fine weather. In tho senior match at Carterton, a splendid game, probably the best this season, between Carterton and Masterton Post and Telegraph teams, re* suited in a win for the former by two goals to one. W. Fisher and Tunnidiffo scored goals for Carterton, and Jackson for Post and Telegraph. Maetorton forfeited to Excelsior in the ladies' competition. Kia Tea defeated Ramblers by one to nil, Dalofleld Juniors boat Carterton by one to nil.
