THE KOHN SHIELD. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week will bo decided at M elUngton a tourney for the Kobn Shield, the competitors for which are from the tramways employees in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin. The Gordon Football Club (Auckland) appealed to the council against the decision of the. Auckland Association in. ordering their Second Division match with North Shore to bo replayed. It appears that the referee ordered a free kick against the North Shore goalkeeper for lying on the bail. A goal was scored from the free kick, and North Shore appealed to the Auckland Association, which (aa stated) ordered tho game to «e replayed.—The council dismissed tho Gordon Club's appeal and confirmed the Auckland Association’s action. SCHOOLS 1 COMPETITION. A stare is to be made with the schools' competition to-morrow, and the following fixtures have been drawn Te. Aro v. Marist, Kelburne, 10 a.m., Mr ixirshherg; South Wellington v. Tho radon, Meiburne, 11 a.m., Mr Brown.
