NATIONAL INSURANCE
MODIFICATION OF THE BILL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received July 12, 0.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 11. Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr Lloyd George outlined a proposed modification of tho National Insurance Bill in the case of agriculturists, domestics, nurses, and clerks whoso employers pay their wages during illness. Mr Lloyd George proposes that these employers and wago-eamore shall pay a penny apiece less, thereby eliminating temporary sick benefit, and leaving the permanent sickness, sanatorium, and maternity benefits untouched.
