Tho Warwickshire County Council has directed inquiries os to why the Homo Secretary, Mr Winston Churchill, intervened to prevent service of a warrant upon a woman for fraud as she left Heading Gaol. Mr Churchill's only excuse was that !he considered further prosecution of this woman, undeserved. A man named James Davey, aged twenty-six, has been arrested on a charge of burglary at Arreton, in Hampshire. There were ten previous convictions against him, including one of three years’ penal, servitude in April, 1910. Mr Churchill ordered his release a mouth ago.
