BATTALION ORDERS

PARADES POSTPONED. Battalion . orders issued yesterday by Lieut.-Colonol Duthic, commending the sth Regiment, state that the subaltern for tho week is Lieut. C. A. L. Treadwell, tho next for dutv being Lieut. C. W. Mollor. Lieut. J. B. Da-vies is transferred to the 6th ifonavratu M..R. Ca.pta.in F. Roes has passed for tho rank of Major. Statements of accounto are to be made up to March 31sb instead of February 23th, as heretofore. PARADES. All subaltern officers will parade under tho adjutant on Wednesday next, the 12th instant, at tho Garrison Hall at 8 p.m. Dress: Drill order E and G Companies will parade at tho Garrison Hall on Monday. June 17th, at 7.30 p.m. for practical examination. Lieutenants Bolton ana Gasqaoine will present themselves for examination. N.0.0.’s classes will bo continued as usual. The machine-gun section will parade under the orders of the assist-ant-adjutant. Tho monthly mess meeting of the officers will be held in the Tiffin tea rooms next Thursday, at 7.30 p.m. As medical examinations for the Territorial Force are being conducted in the Garrison Hall throughout the next few week all parades other than the above are cancelled until further notice. The N.C.O.’s Club (at the Far End) will he closed pending medical examinations. 6.C. companies con please themselves whether thev hold parades, provided they do not make use of the Garrison - Hall. The Commanding Officer . will inspect H Company as follows;—Right half company at Johrisonville on July 20th, at 8 nan.; left half comnauy at tho Lower Hutt on JtPv 21st, at 8 Pi m. The drums will parade under the adjutant every Mondav and Wednesday night at the Garrison Fall at 8 p.m. RAILWAY PASSES. A circular memo has been sent' out to company commanders, by Lieut. Bassam, adjutant to iho sth Regiment, requesting the return of all books of railway posses. In future all passes will bo signed and issued h v the adjutant. j
