Sir Charles Moss, Chief Justice of Ontario, unveiled a memorial on Qu-eenston Heights, Niagara Falls, to tho Canadian heroine Laura Secord, w ho, in tho .war of 1812, gave, the British commander warning of the whereabouts of the United States troops, thus enabling him to gain a victory. , Laura Secord journeyed twelve miles through a forest tenanted by wild beasts, through country occupied by tho enemy’s forces.
