Of tho amount being distributed to-day colonial shareholders will receive £17,882 2s, thero being 1187 shareholders on tho Dominion register holding 213.537 old issue and 33,188 now issue shares. - The drop in Waihis to-day is attributed to two causes—the flooding of the lower level and the rumour that the mine may bo entirely closed down for a while as a result of the miners’ demands for increased wage®. Rumours of labour troubles invariably have a depressing effect on the London market, and this is quickly reflected here. Business on the Exchange showed improvement during the ja-st day or two as far as shares in mining companies are concerned. Pair transactions took "place in both Waihi and Grand Junction shares, Waihis bringing to 66s and down to 63s and 62s 9rl to-day. while Junctions ran from 28s 6d to 26s 9d. Talisman Consolidated shares have, maintained their price, selling dally at about 525.
