WELLINGTON SCORES. y Shooting for the “ Daily Mail 55 Cup took place in Wellington yesterday, • tno Suburos Defence Kitio Club firing at FolhiU Gully and the Karoii Utile Club at Miramar. At -VoihiU U-ully tho weather was perfect. The Suburbs' club’s colours were worn-for the first time. These were selected by Lady Islington* lady pation of the duo. The range .officer.was Cap* tain Martin, and the crencn officers Lieutenant Meo and Lieutenant Mollor. The club put'up a score of 824, tour men. Newton, Smart. Uowor and Fellinguam scoring 10-i each. Owing to starting late the Karorl Club’s team' had to shoot in very bad Ugat at 600 yards. ' This team’s shooting was not good as I hat of the Suburbs representatives, but when the circumstances are taken into consideration the dub’s total of 787 is very creditable. Major Mathieson supervised the work in the trench and Captain ■'■■Roach ‘ took charge of the scoring. ' Following were the scores: —
FEATHBRSTON RIFLE CLUB. The Featherstou Rifle Club experienced some difficulty in getting a team together, two emergencies having to_bo got to make up the team of eight. Nevertheless, the club managed to put together a total of 799. All tho members of the team shot well J- O. Bidwill puting up a score of 105 which, being a possible, may probably Ire a record.
