WOOD LUPINE MURDER
POLICE ON THE TRACK OF A ' SUSPECT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright PERTH, May 20. A warrant has been Issued for the arrest of David Smithson in connection with the Wood Lupine murder. The' suspected man was formerly a tram conductor, and ho has been missing from his lodgings since the night of the tragedy. Last night a man resembling the accused called at the Bayswater railway station, four miles from Wood Lupine, and asked for a ticket for Perth. On being told that a train was not due for some hours he became excited, ran across the line, and jumped on a train which was proceeding, in the opposite direction. The man’s dishevelled appearance startled a lady passenger, who screamed, and the guard stopped tho train. The man sprang out and disappeared in tho scrub. Trackers are following the trail.
