SEAMENS GRIEVANCES
NOVEL PROTEST AGAINST NONRECOGNITION. By Telegraph—Press Association—-Copyright (Received May 21, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 20. As a protest against the refusal ol the Shipping Federation to admit that seamen have any grievances requiring present discussion, the National Seamen’s Union is arranging for the holding of holiday camps, lasting a fortnight and starting to-day. It is expected that 7000 seamen at various ports will joip the camps. . The Seamen’s Union officials deny that the movement is in the nature of a strike, although it may develop into one at any moment.
