INTEiR-CLTJB COMPETITIONS. MATCHES RESUMED. After an interval of nearly two months matches in the competitions were restarted on Saturday, the programme constituting the matches postponed on December 10th owing to bad weather and again on January 28th because of the intorprovincial fixture against Oanter-. bury. The only match in the senior competition was the Thermion-Brougham Hill fixture (men’s), and as the former team won easily that club has now won both -the men’s and ladies’ senior grade championships. Two interesting matches were played in the C grade, Brougham Hill I. defeating Khantlallah, and as both teams were level Brougham Hill now leads in that contest. Tho suburban club also suffered defeat in tho ladies' C grade, fob which it was one of the leading teams, 'St. John’s winning by 5 rubbers to 1, - though the match was remarkably even, the winners taking three rubbers by a single game and the other two by 7—5, finally winning by only oho game (36—35) but well ahead on rubbers. AH matches set down for decision on the Day’s Bay courts had to he further postponed owing to the heavy rainfall the previous night. The other senior fixture set down was won by Wellington 11. by default, the Muritai Club being unable to meet its engagement, and consequently has failed to win a match during the

season, and occupies bottom place in the championship table.
