BUTT VALLEY TROTTING CLUB
Trotting enthusiasts will be catered for by the meeting of the Halt Valley Trot ting Club, which is to take place at Petom on Monday and Tuesday. Excellent field; are engaged, and two daj's’ very satisfactory sport is anticipated. A large number of trotters owned in this district claim engagements, whilst there will lie added interest owing to the presence of several well-known Canterbury trotters, including Heirloom, Glanclla, Calm, Clinton, Seychelles, Auckland being represented by Manxman. The club's officials have spared no efforts to make the gathering a memorable one, and their hard work is ex-; nested to result in a very euccossful meet* ing. Complete railway arrangements havo been made, and on both days trains will leave Lambton station at frequent intervals.
