An enjoyable afternoon was. Riven by the ladies of the W.C.T.U. in the Congregational school-room ,on Tuesday, when Dr. Platts-Mills gave a most interesting and instructive address. A number of little ones were dedicated to the great cause of temperance.
Miss Milsom, whose name has been so long and favourably known as a toilette specialist, has some sound common-sense news Embodied in her little pamphlet, “The Lost Secret.” She has words of wisdom on the. topic of heavy unhealthy hair pads and their disastrous consequences, and “points her moral" with sneh excellent and striking similes that the attention is at once arrested. .
