Tho wooden barquentiue Gratitude, 323 tons, owned by the V hitstable Shipping Company, Ltd., of Rochester, colii-ded with a collier off Gravesend and sank in two minutes. Eight men out of the ten forming the crow were drowned. UNKNOWN VESSEL ASHORE. (Received December 2, 0.35 a.m.) , NEW YORK, December 1. The British steamer Barranca reported, on arrival at Kingston, capital of Jamaica, having sighted an unidentified wreck ashore at Turks Island, a group of the Bahamas, north of San Domingo. There was no sign of life aboard.
