TRAFALGAR DAY TRIBUTES

An immense wreath, from the Canterbury (N.Z.) branch of the Navy League wag a prominent feature of the decorations at the foot of'Nelson's Column to-day, which is Trafalgar Day. There were also floral mementos from the Otago. ‘Wanganui, and Wellington branches, and the New Zealand tributes also included a wreath sent to London from the Dominion in a block of ice. - The offering of the Navy league itself was a large laurel wreath, tied with red, white, and blue. and. bearing the French and Spanish colours as a tribute to the sailors of France and Spain who fell fighting at Trafalgar.
