MUNICIPAL THEATRE
At a. meeting of the , Napier Borough Council on Monday night it was decided —“That the Hon. Mr Pitt, of Melbourne, be asked whether he would act, and what fee he would charge, to represent this borough as assessor in connection with the municipal theatre and office plans; also to draw up conditions and make suggestions prior to competitive .designs being invited, and cheek plans and specifications before tenders are called: the estimated cost of theatre buildings, offices; seats and scenery 1 not to exceed urM.ooo.” : .
