THE ANTARCTIC
On Thursday evening next the 'Wellington public will have an opportunity of hearing first-hand details of Antarctic explorar tion, by Captain Scott. Thia will not be tho first occasion on which Captain Scott has lectured in Wellington, and, in view of his contemplated expedition in search of the South Pole, the lecture should attract a large audience. Captain Scott, who is possessed of literary gifts, can present his subject in a most entertaining manner. The whole of the proceeds will be devoted to the funds of the Boys* Institute. In all other places where Captain Scott has lectured the proceeds have gone towards the expense of his equipment.
