SERIOUS TRAM ACCIDENT

CAR PALLS DOWN A HILL TWELVB PERSONS INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received May 30, 1.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 20. A sensational accident occurred at AValhalla, a mining township in the Gippsland district. A party of eleven adults and an infant child was travelling on the Long Tunnel Company's locomotive tram cai, which was overturned. The car was hurled down a hill, alighting ou top of the passengers, who were ail injured. Tho most serious injury was received by Mrs Ilazlowood, who was hurt internally. Airs Dawson suffered a fractured arm. Tho infant, named .Phillips, received a fracture of the skull, and Us case is hopeless.
