The State schools in this district have broken up for the usual winter term holidays. The Vv'airarapa Rugby Union has received a donation of JC3 3s from Hr W. C. Buchanan, -VL.i’. Friday next, Juno 3rd, is to bo observed as a public holiday as usual by the Carterton Tradesmen’s Association. The many friends of Mr It. Tocker, of Featherston, will be pleased to hear that ho has recovered from his recent illness.
