Every child resident in New Zealand, 15 years o£ age and under, who sends or brings to the Childrens* Golden Competition Department a new Subscriber for one month, accompanied by the money, will be allowed to compete. 2. All answers must be concise and to the point, and contain not more" than twenty-five words. They may be in either prose or verse, and will be published in the “ N.Z. Times” from week to week. The answers must be written on a separate sheet of paper, unsigned, and must be accompanied by the subscriptions. The answers will be sent to the Judges of the Competition, whose decision will be rendered without knowing the names of the competitors. . . 3. Every Winner of a prize will be required to furnish satisfactory proof as to his or her age. 4. . The names of the Judges, whose decision shall be final, will be announced before the close of the Competition. In sending in answers, competitors must clearly state to whom the “New Zealand is to he sent, and the date on which the delivery is to commence. The subscription rate is 2/2 per month, or if posted 3/3, and for longer periods at the same rates. Competitors in securing subscriptions must ascertain whether the paper can be delivered by an agent or whether it will have to be posted, and the necessary amount forwarded accordingly.
