An exciting racecourse incident, ending in tragedy, is Reported from Braila, a seaport town in Roumauia, on tho left bank of the Danube.
Gallas, a jockey, pulled a horse he was riding in a race, and the crowd excitedly protested. ‘ • Several bookmakers drew revolvers, and shot Gallas, who fell riddled with bullets. Tho murderers escaped.
