Colonel Kirkpatrick, who attended Lord Kitchener on his visit to Australia, has been appointed InspectorGeneral of the Commonwealth Forces. (Received April 23, 1.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 22. Colonel Kirkpatrick was appointed before ho left Australia, but tho anndmceiment was delayed tiU tTie War Office’s consent had been obtained. The appointment had Lord Kitchener’s hearty approval.
