There was a large attendance of mom* bers at tho special meeting of tho Wellington Centre of th© N.Z.A.A.A. lost j evening, when Mr W, F, Coffey prosided.

Mr Police]:, who had given notice to move: “That all communications from / clubs under the jurisdiction of the Wei- ■ lington Centre, to other centres, shall bo, made through this centre, intimated-: that ho desired to withdraw same. This • was agreed to. Mi* Walsh moved: “That the following words be added to rule 4 (executive): ‘and provided that members of the same club shall not represent moi‘6 than one other club/" Mr Stuart Robinson/ ■ seconded. A great deal of discussion look place regarding the merits of the motion, many considering that it would: place undue restrictions on members. The motion, on being put, was supported by ten members, and opposed by sir. As those supporting the motion did not constitute iwo-thirds of the members present, as prescribed by the rules, the ' motion was lost.

A long discussion took place on the following motion; "That Rule 6 (executive) bo deleted, and the following rule be in-,-crtcd in lieu thereof: 'Any ropresonta* five may delegate his power or voting ut any specified centre meeting on any particular subject or subjects to any other representative. Such substitute shall, unless limited by.the document appointing him, have all the powers of speech and vote possessed by the representative appointing him/ ” The voting, on the motion being put, was: For the motion, 10; against, 5. The motion was therefore carried.

Mr Fleming Roes was elected to represent the centre on the New Zealand Council.
