The aiaended conditions for tie Empire Day Title competition, for-which LieutCol. Schumacher (Witwatersrand Rifles, Johaanesburg) has offered a ' Challenge Cup of the value of 100 guineas, besides the: otner : prizes, ■ have been received. The contest will take place under the auspices of the National Rifle Association. The cup will be shot for on Empire Day, Tuesday, May 24, or on the Saturday preceding. The contest is open ;to teams of 40 (from any unit of his Majesty's service), of whom not more than two may be commissioned officers.and four serpeants. Warrant-officer and noncommissioned officers above the rank of sergeant may not compete.
