WINTER GAMES
SUGGESTED. ALLOCATION OE GROUNDS. The reserves committee of Hie City Council, after conferring with representatives of various sports bodies yesterday, made the following allocation., of grounds ■ for the forthcoming winter sports. Those are merely to be regarded as suggestions, the sports bodies being invited to consider them before, next Monday, when they will come up forconfirmation: — , ■ SATURDAYS. Basin Reserve.—Football Association, | one ground (N.W. portion, running alongside fence); Lacrosse Association, one ground (south side); . Australian football, one ground (N.B. portion). Newtown Park.—Wellington. Rugby Union, No. 1 ground; Wellington Football Association, No. 2 ground. Duppa street Park.-7.Rocke.y Association and Lacrosse Association, lower ground between them: Wellington Foot-' ball Association L and Rugby Union, upper ground equally divided. Kelburne Park.—Wellington Hockey Association and Football Association. Nairn street reserve. —Wellington. Football - Association.' Anderson Park will be used for a limited amount of hockey playing. WEDNESDAYS. ' '■"" Basin Reserve.—Wednesday Hookey Association, half the reserve; the remainder being kept as a stand-by for house matches, etc. Newtown Park.—Wellington Rugby Union, No. 1 .ground; WeUinjgton Football Association, No. 2 ground. Kelburne Park.—Wednesday Hookey Association, whole ground. ' Duppa street. —Lower ground, Hockey Association; upper ground, for house matches, etc. " ' A limited amount of hookey will be played on Anderson Park at the discretion of the superintendent • The Kilbinue ground will be for Local use only.
