FERRYSIDE CROQUET CLUB
Tho above club completed its first tournament on Saturday. Mis Findlay, the president, had kindly given a- trophy,, and Mrs W. H. Fulton and Miss V., Zohrab met in the final round oi tie competition for it. After a well fought stubborn game the former was success-' ful, and coming away evenly and steadily towards the end won with a lair, margin of points to her credit. Mrs Findlay presented a • handsome silver inscribed mallet to the winner at tho conclusion of the match, adding a tew words of congratulation. Many members and victors were pie. sent, for it was a heautitul day, and the lawns .looked very well. Afternoon tea was served in Day's Bay House. During the afternoon other matches were played as follow: . For Miss Skenett's trophy (doubles). -Mrs Wilkin and Mr Diusbury belt Mis* Zohrab and Mrs Didsbory; Miss V. Zohrab and Mr Guy Fulton beat Mrs W. H. Fulton and Miss Goodman. For Mrs Campbell's trophy, (handicap aing'cs).—Second round: Miss Geddis beat Mrs W. H. Didsbury; Mis=, Jjoss beat Miss Henderson; Mr Guy Fulton beat Miss V. Zohrab; Mrs Guy E'lton beat Mrs D. Bulkley; Miss X Zoluab beat Mrs Wilkin (scratched); Mr Didsbury beat Miss Conner; Hihj Goodman beat Mr Bevin. Third round: Mr Didsbury beat Miss Goodman; Mr G. Fulton beat Mrs Fulton.
