Mi?e Powell has been a member of the W.C.T. Arch-priest Le Menant des Chcsnai'6, at Teanuka, said there was scarcely a pairish in the diocese in which he had not ministered to the people. Being in every way and always a priest and a man of God, never had he been known to shirk a duty, but he had been ever willing and faithful. In his time he had founded many convents, and schools, and other religious organisations. The keynote of Ms life had been hie lively • faith, and the people of Ternuka had been fortunate in having such a priest among them. Tho Ven Arch-priest had laboured on right up to the last, and before passing away he had desired to thank all those who at any 'time had done him the smallest favour. The Rev. W. Mr J. B. Speed also spoke. Dr Jones, in replying, said his regret at leaving New Zealand increased every day. Had it not been that lie was called to do gome special work he would not leavo so beautiful a country. However, ho hoped .that he might return some day to the Dominion with renewed intellectual vigour.
