In the Police Court. 4 hio morning Margaret McAuhff e, againsn whom there were several previous com lotions, pleaded guilty to having liquor for at Invercargill. a iiO'-liceii6e district. Sho was convicted and ordered to conic up for sentence when called upon, the Magistrate stating that sho must not keep a boardinghouse in Invercargill for at least two years. Nona Thomson, for assisting the previous accused in the commission of the offence, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Roderick Bis sett, brewers’ carter, also charged with assisting McAuliffe by delivering beer to fictitious persons supposed to lodge in the house, was fined •£l-5. . , E. Joseph. Lineon. and Con. Lindsay, who were found on the premises, were each fined .£2.
