Bull, Unionist member for Hammersmith, in a letter to tho newspapers, says the working of the Eight Hours (Mines) Aot has caused allwound disappointment. Tho output lias been limited,, and the cost has been increased by from Is to Is 6d a ton.
Tho workers, oontinned the writer, wore thoroughly dissatisfied owing to the restrictions on their wage-earning capacity, and also with the friction resulting from the rearranged shifts.
