MORE WAGES WANTED
STRIKE AT TOKOMAEU BAT. PKESS ASSOCIATION. GISBORNE, February 7. Twenty-seven Europeans employed in tho construction. of the freezing works at Tokomimi Bay .by Bull 'Bros., contractors for tho building, struck this, morning for an increase from eight to nine shillings a day. A number of-natives also employed on the job failed'to',turn up. P ;i Tho contractors anticipate no difficulty in finding men.
