FOR THE TRENTHAM RACES

Oar illustration depicts one of tho new race models which are showing at tho D.I.C. in anticipation of the forthcoming race meeting at Trentham. It is carried out in black moire, trimmed with a fold of velvet round the crowu and finished with a handsome feather mount raid buckle. The urice of this stylish hat is only 29s Gd, which must at once appeal to the woman who likes smart headgear combined with cheapness. 1 have boon able to inspect the new autumn millinery which the D.I.C. aro showing, and in addition to the tastefulness and cheapness which characterises this firm's models, I was particularly struck with a hat in mole

panne velvet, trimmed with vieux Tose moire, and finished with a saxe feather mount, tho brim being lined with the vieux ro>;e moire, priced at 59s 6d; also a smart model in dull gold moire trimmed with a sequin band and finished with ostrich plumes held in place by a quaint iefc ornament. A new turban shape in black had a band of emerald velvet round the outside, and was completed by ostrich tips at the left side. A tricorn hat in bronze groen with a feather mount was very becoming, as also was an Admiral shape developed in old gold satin veiled with black lace and trimmed with dull gold and crimson flowers. Tho guinea hats to be had in this establishment aroi very good value, and one in lavender moire finished with a smart wing was particularly attractive.
