AUSTRALIAN MAIL SERVICE

MELBOURNE, January 14. .The manager of the Orient Company has had a conference with the Postmaster-General, and made final arrangements for the now mail contract which comes into operation on February 11th. The company will accelerate the speed of the service - between Adelaide and West Australia, and will equip i the steamers with wireless telegraph apparatus as soon as the stations at Fremantle and Sydney are established.
