The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer will not .come to Wellington this week' for Homeward loading as was at first intended. The vessel is to leave Lyttelton on Saturday for Bluff and Port Chalmers, and will probably come to Wellington towards the end of the month to take her departure from this port for London. ’ • MORE OIL COMING. The Austrian cargo steamer Georgia,. 5330 tons. Captain Martinolich, ' sailed from New York last week with a shipment of case barrel oils for. Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel should arrive at Wellington about the end of April, The French barque Marie also left New York last week with case oils for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Vacuum Oil Company are agents for both vessels. TONGARIRO'S DEPARTURE POSTPONED. Instead of sailing from Wellington at noon to-day for London via Monte Video, Teneriffe and Plymouth, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tongariro will not sail before daybreak to-morrow at the earliest. TAINUI LEAVES PLYMOUTH. Last Saturday afternoon the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Tainui sailed from Plymouth for Wellington and Lyttelton, via Capetown and Hobart. The vessel is due at Capetown about the 29th instant, at Hobart about February 17th, and at Wellington about February' 22nd. FOR EAST COAST BAYS. The Union Company's steamer Mokoia, which is to sail from Wellington it 5 p.m. to-day for Auckland via ports, will take - cargo for Fast Coast bays for transhipment at Gisborne to the Flora. Gifford, manager of Irwin and Co., Honolulu, receiver, the following cablegram recently :—"Have made a contract for fitting the Sierra for the ; Honolulu service. ULA DUE SATURDAY. The British India Company’s steamer Ula, from Calcutta, left Auckland last evening for Wellington, where she is due on Saturday morning. After discharging part cargo at Wellington the Indraghiri will proceed on to Lyttelton and Dunedin with the remainder of cargo. THE MAEAMA FROM SYDNEY. A passage of three days fifteen and a half hours from Sydney direct brought the Union Company’s steamer Marama into the stream at Wellington at 11.50 а. yesterday. Pratique was granted, and the vessel berthed at 12.40 p.m. at No. 4, Queen's wharf. The line new twin-screw cargo steamer Star of Canada, the latest addition to the Tyser Line, made her first- appeal ance at Wellington yesterday, when shf» arrived from London, via Australian ports, Auckland and Napier. The vessel berthed at No. 14, Jervois quay. The Star of Canada, it will be remembered, was built ,by Messrs Workman, Clark and Co., Belfast, to replace the steamer Star of Japan, which -was wrecked off the West African coast in April 1908 while on ber maiden voyage from London to Australia and New Zealand.
