OPERA HOUSE. "THE SILVER KING." Williamson's New Dramatic Company gave its last performance of that finely constructed military drama “The Flag Lieutenant’'’ at tho Opera House last night. This evening tho ever-popular “Silver King" will be revived for a season of three nights only—the last nights of tho season. The performances will give Wellington theatre-goers the opportunity of seeiug that clever actor, Mr G. S. Titheradgc, in the part of Wilfred Denver, the character which lie created for Australasia, and which ho first placed in a quarter of a century ago. When, he played the part in Sydney recently the press was unanimous in its praise. In the production tonight Mr Titheradg© will have the assistance of Miss Ethel Warwick as Nellie Denver, a part in which she has won great distinction both in Melbourne and Sydney, also of Mr Harry Plimmer as the Spider, Mr Eardley Turner as Jaikes, Mr Hedge Carey as Henry Corkott, and Mr Fred Cambourno as Lliaii Coorabe. THEATRE ROYAL. Judging by the numerous attendance at the Theatre Royal last evening *ullers' Vaudeville Company is presenting a programme which is- in keeping with the popular taste. The many enjoyable items which are enthusiastically greeted include an original acrobatic act by the Duckworths, an exceptionally laughable skit by Armstrong and Verne, a smart trick cycle performance by Lorone, and & very humorous juggling “turn" by tho Levartos. There aro numerous other features well up to the average merit of up-to-date vaudeville. The programme will bo repeated this evening.
