MEETING OF THE CONCILIATION COUNCIL. NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE. As much secrecy is being observed over the proceedings of the Council of Conciliation set up to consider the new demands of the Slaughtermen's Federation, as was originally the case with the initial negotiations made by the men for now conditions of employment. Finality in the proceedings of tb e Council was not reached yesterday and another meeting will be held on Saturday to further consider tho position, which might be influenced to eom*tent by a meeting to be held at Chrastv church to-day No communication will be made to the press until the result of the deliberations of the Council have been submitted to the employees, which will probably not bo done until the beginning of next week. A conference between the employers and slaughtermen's union's representatives, in connection with the union's demands of 25s per 100 carcases aintt an eight hours day, was held yesterday at the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company's office.
