Master Laddo has been withdrawn from the Wellington Stakes, and Ambrosian, Singer and Attention have been scratched for all engagements at the summer meeting of the Wellington Racing dub. Good reports reach m© of Orucinella. who is doing fine at Waverley. All going well in the interim the bay daughter of San Francisco will be a competitor in tho Telegraph Handicap at Trentham. The performance put up by Golden Slipper when the Multiform mare won the Welter Handicap at tho Tattersall’s Club (Sydney) races was a meritorious ono. She carried 9st 81b and ran tho mile in Imin 40i|sec. First Consul (who has been very,pilucky this season) has been getting through some good tasks at Opaki recently, and it is hoped for Mr W. I>. Watson’s sake that a win will not be much longer deferred.

The stable presided over by J. W. Lowe at Trentha-m will not be represented at the Pahiatua meeting to-day, it having been decided not to start Effort and Sea Queen, which had engagements at the meeting.

Mocassin, the aged Hippocampui gelding which has won a number of important events, including a Northern Grand -National and Wanganui Steeplechase, will shortly bo put into work again in view of coming steeplechase ©vents. Mocassin will be prepared by, O. Pritchard.
