THE FRENZIED FARMER.
The comio papers will lead you to believe that the farmer is never quite contented. Perhaps it is that he never gets much , chance. In bad seasons -he is likely to starve, or at least to lose his capital. In good seasons, he may bo eaten out by pests. The gentle rabbit is a devastating little devil in the farmer's view, and the rabbit multiplies amazingly if he is let. Small birds are often a very costly nuisance. The farmer has to be for ever thinking of his gun. Then he has another trouble Ammunition costs money. The thing he seeks is the cartridge which, while giving good results, costs least. For him, therefore, the Colonial Ammunition Coml pany provides the widely popular twoinch "Vixen Seconds" cartridge. It is the cheapest smokeless cartridge on the market, its ignition is immediate, its penetration is exoellent—it kills. That is why you find "Vixen Seconds" everywhere about the country districts. It suits the-old man, and it suits the boys ■ it's so wonderfully cheap, and so deadly to the pests. There are other cartridges in plenty, but none so good at the price and none of more honest quality at any price. Where cartridges of higher grade aro required, the company has admirable makes on hand. The thing to do, in buying all your ammunition, is to see that you get the absolute guarantee of the famous trade-mark—"C.A.C." *
