DISPOSAL OF BUTTER AND CHEESE. fEE3S ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 7. At a conference'yeateixlay of the South Island L Dairy. Association, which is' now, a corporate body registered as tho South Island Dairy Association of New Zealand, Ltd., Mr J. E. Hurdle, who pre--sided, stated that tho association was on a sound, financial basis. The small attendance at the conference was due' to the early season on Banks Peninsula keeping delegates, busy harvesting. With a vierw to meeting tho difficulty, the next annual conference would be held between November Ist and November 11th next; instead of in tho following January: The important question of the sale of next years output of butter and cheese was discussed. Tho chairman commended to the consideration of those present the advisability of disposing of tho output fortnightly or monthly instead of in one lot, as has been tho practice hitherto.After considerable discussion it was decided to take stops to formulate a scheme for fortnightly or monthly sales’ for adoption at the annual general meeting of tho association at Dunedin in Juno next. ,
