REffD—MARTIN.
At Martinborougli on Holiday last Miss Frieda Martin, daughter of Mr John Martin, of Marthiborough, was married to Mr Reid, of the Government Veterinairy Department. It will be remembered that the wedding, which was to havo taken place some timo ago, had to be postponed on account of the serious illness of Miss Martin, who, it is now gratifying to loam, .has regained 'her health. The officiating clergyman at the wedding was the Rev. Wynn-Bond.
ESTOOTJRT—CARTER, . A pretty -wedding was solemnised at St. Thomas's Church on Monday afternoon by tho Rov. J. "Walker. Tho ooiita-aciting parties wero Florence Holon, second daughter of Mr F. Carter, of Wellington, and Mr Walter Brierly Estcourt, of Wellington. Tho bride, who was given away _by her father, looked extremely charming in a graceful princess gown of white chiffon taffetas with a panel of silk ' lace and a court train. Sho wore the customary wreath and veil and .carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Misses Grace darter (sister of the bride), Grace Stitt. of Feilding, Daisy Richardson, and Leila Boon. The two- eldor bridesmaids wore picturesque Eimpire gowns of silk striped heliotrope ninon and orinoline hats trimmed with roses. The two children were quaintly attired in white muslin and . satin bonnets. All four carried crooks decorated with white sweet, peas, and wore pearl and ruby DToodhes, the 'gift of the bridegroom. A reception was hold at Godber's rooms, and was attended by a large number of .guests, Mrs Stitt, sister of tho bride, acting as hostess. MITCHELL—McLEOD. Tho wedding of Mr John Mitchell, of- Bopelands, to Miss Annie McLeod, was solemnised at Kumeroa, last week. Misses Barbara McLeod and Maggie McLeod were bridesmaids, and Mr W. Purdie was best man. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Gardner. Tho honeymoon is being spent in Auckland. MACKLIN—REVT3LL. At St. Thomas's Ohurch, Newtown, on Wednesday, January sth, by the Rev. J. Walker, Stella, second daughter of Mr and. Mrs T. W. Revell, was married to Mr David Macklin, second son of Mrs and Mrs W. Macklin, of Wellington. The brido was given away by her father, and wore an Empire gown of ivory chiffon taffetas, trimmed..with silk laoe- Tho usual veil and 'orange "blossoms were worn, and She -carried a shower houquot. Misses 'Ruby and Ida Rovell, and Emily and Edith Macklin were bridesmaids, all frockod in ivory crystalline and wearing pink hats, which matched tho bouquets carried. Th© bridegroom was supported by Mr A. J. Macklin as best man, and Mr A. R. Lanlcshear as groomsman. Mr and Mrs Macklin went North for their honeymoon.
