FLOWER SHOW
OPENING AT PETONE TO-MOR ROW. Though the Hutt Valley Horticuk tural society had its origin in Petone, it is many years since a flower show was held in that town. 'To meet the often-expressed wishes of residents, and also as an acknowledgement of the fact that Petone growers have been amongst the most successful exhibitors of sweet peas in recent years, the society has scheduled its annual sweet pea and carnation show to be held in the seaboard borough this season. The show, which should produce a finer display of the blooms which are to bo its main features than any of its pre.' decessors, will be held in the Petone Drill Hall to-morrow, the opening hour being 3 p.m. Among the exhibitors will be Mr C. Trevethick, one of the foremost cultivators of sweet peas in the Dominion.
